Preparing your order
Follow these steps once you've placed your order and you'll have your awesome scans in no time. Please note that properly packing your order will ensure that your negatives or slides arrive safely. Make sure to follow these easy guidelines before shipping.
1. Gather your negatives or slides
Get your oder together and whenever possible try to leave the negative in the original sleeves, boxes or carousels they came in.
2. Packaging material
If you're just sending several strips of film in their original plastic or paper sleeves, we recomend cutting two pieces of cardbord (from a box for example) that's only slightly bigger than than the strips themselves. Then sandwich your film between the two layers of cardboard and tape around the cardboard taking care not to get tape on the film. As an extra precaution, place the taped cardboard and film into a Ziplock type bag to protect against moisture or water damage during shipping. Then place it all in a shipping envelope or small box.
If you're sending a larger shipment, make sure you leave the film in their original plastic or paper sleeves. Then place those sleeves into a Ziplock type bag to protect against moisture or water damage during shipping. Place the Ziplock type bag into a sturdy box.
Don't wrap your negatives or slides in paper or other materials that may attract dust, particles or paper pulp. Make sure to keep them in their original box or carousel if possible.
Include your order sheet.
When you complete your purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email that also serves as an order sheet. It's vital that you include a printout of this sheet with your negative or slide shipment. That's how we know who to send the scans to.
When you ship your order, make sure to use a courrier service that offers tracking. Otherwise your precious memories may get lost forever. Adding insurance to your shipment may also make sense for you.
And that's it. You'll soon receive beautiful scans ready to download at your convenience.
